A brain-computer interface translates brain waves into control signals. This new device is demonstrated at CeBit 2008 to control all the functions of a house. The system allows switching on the TV, to play music, to open the doors and windows, to operate a camera at the door, to walk through the house, and many more other activities. This is especially useful for paralyzed people for independent living. A Virtual Reality version of such a house control system will be shown at CeBIT 2008. (more…)

In 2008, the Research Group for Digital Photography (adf) will be building on their success at last year’s CeBIT by presenting another impressive display on all aspects of digital imaging - live and interactive. At CeBIT 2008 from 4 to 9 March, the 1,500 m² “digital imaging” special display in Hall 23 is the place to be. Exhibitors include camera manufacturers Canon, Fujifilm, Olympus and Sigma, photo print specialist Epson, software providers Adobe, Corel and Vertus, accessories experts Datacolor, Eizo, Quato and Wacom, minilab manufacturer Noritsu and photographic service provider Personello.
