Apple oficially shows iPhone 3G

Rumours about the new 3G iPhone have been arround since last year, and some people even claimed they saw it, but right now it’s official. After months of waiting, Steve Jobs unveiled the iPhone 3G at the  today.

Official release: Apple today introduced the new iPhone 3G, combining all the revolutionary features of iPhone with 3G networking that is twice as fast* as the first generation iPhone, built-in GPS for expanded location based mobile services, and iPhone 2.0 software which includes support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and runs the hundreds of third party applications already built with the recently released iPhone SDK.   • iPhone 3G: it’s june after all

    Just as we said last year: 3G iPhone comes out in june. Today more analysts have suggested that Apple is working towards a mid-year launch date for the much-anticipated 3G iPhone. Jonathan Richards says in The Times that Apple has lined up the German chipmaker Infineon Technologies to supply parts for its next-generation phone, and may release the product as soon as June or July.
