Google, famous for it’s perfect ad targeting, is “teasing” me to download and try Google Chrome while I am browsing the Internet on Google Chrome. How silly is that? Thousands of ads wasted in the best targeted ad machine in the world…

    Google sent an e-mail alert today saying AdSense Referrals is “retiring” in the last week of august. The beloved search engine invites people to fill up the empty spaces with it’s other products.

  • ComScore and other analysts think that Google clicks on ads are growing too slow or the numbers are flat. But are they? I personally think that Google sells too many ads, right now the can’t even fit on a single results page and so on.   • ComScore released rankings of the top U.S. Internet properties based on the number of display ad impressions delivered.
    Yahoo! Sites ranked as the top display ad publisher property in November, with 18.8 percent of display ad views, followed by Fox Interactive (16.3 percent), Microsoft Sites (6.7 percent), Time Warner Network (5.8 percent) and Facebook.com (1.5 percent). Nearly half (49.1 percent) of all display ads seen by U.S. Internet users originate on only five properties, illustrating the concentration of advertising among a few properties.

  • Viacom goes for Microsoft online ads

    Viacom announces a deal that will allow Microsoft to sell display advertising across the media group’s websites. That is besides the $1 billion damage Viacom is seeking from YouTube. Microsoft will replace ads from DoubleClick, which was bought by Google. (more…)
