Hungary and Romania will host the first competition of the Dakar Series in April, the organizer of the Dakar Rally announced. Etienne Lavigne, director of the Amaury Sport Organization which has run the real Dakars, said the Central Europe Rally would from April 20-26 to allow those who would have raced in January Dakar a chance to compete, writes BBJ. “The race was urgently organized to provide visibility for their sponsors at a big international competition,” Lavigne told a news conference in Budapest. Great performance for a fair price, but it lacks one essential element: it’s not durable. I had it for about 3 month, and i took some great snapshots with it. The clarity is the best you can get for 150 dollars or so.

The processor is DIGIC III, so it has the same performance as A570, but no image stabilizator. So, here’s what happened. It was connected by USB to my laptop, sitting on my desk when my cell stated to ring, I went to grab it, pull the USB cable and trow the camera on the floor. This is no hard surface, it’s a carpet for God’s sake! (more…)
