Romania bids for EURO 2020 championship

Bulgaria and Romania have proposed to Uefa president Michelle Platini that they co-host the 2020 European football championship, Bulgarian-language Dnevnik daily quoted Bulgarian Football Union president Borislav Miahailov as saying on November 12 2008. Romanian authorities have arrested 24 people for allegedly producing fake auction websites and using falsified credit cards, according to local police. The suspects were arrested in the capital Bucharest and other five cities across Romania, following a six-month investigation aided by the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI.
