Polsat adds mobile phone networks

Learning from Romania’s RCS&RDS operator,  Cyfrowy Polsat SA, Poland’s largest digital satellite pay television platform has launched mobile phone services, based on its own telecommunications infrastructure using network solutions from Nokia Siemens Networks.

Satellite promises 1.2 GBps broadband

Japanese launched a rocket from Yoshinobu Launch Complex at the Tanegashima Space Center carrying a satellite that will test new technology that promises to deliver “super high-speed Internet” service to homes and businesses. The Associated Press said the satellite would offer speeds of up to 1.2 gigabytes per second.
