After de miserable failure of voice dialling apps in our mobile phones and voice commands for our PC’s, this time Yahoo says it has a new technology: mobile voice search for our cell phones. “It’s not perfect, but Yahoo’s voice-powered search tech is worth using. It’s a sign of things to come as phones and wireless networks improve”, according to CNet.

A new report from ABI Research hits the rather obvious note that customers are loyal to good service, not a particular carrier. As geographic boundaries for telco services erode thanks to unlimited wireless pricing plans and potential femtocell deployments, services and service are key. (more…)
